Ginger Lew
Ms. Ginger Lew has served as our director since June 2007. Currently, Ms. Lew is Chairman of the Czech/Slovak American Enterprise Fund which makes investments in the Slovak Republic. Ms. Lew also serves as member and former Co-Chair of the NASDAQ Hearing Listing and Review Council, an independent advisory board to NASDAQ. She is the founder and Chairman of the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), a national organization of Asian American investment professionals.
Ms. Lew has extensive business, investment and government experience. During her tenure with the federal government, she was Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer for the U.S. Small Business Administration, appointed by the White House as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate for both the SBA and Commerce positions. Ms. Lew also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific Islands and as a member of the Army Science Board for 6 years. Ms. Lew's business experience includes international management consulting with Ernst and Young. She was Vice-President and General Counsel for a start-up company based in San Francisco. Ms. Lew has served on the boards of several privately held technology companies on both the east and west coasts. Ms. Lew was the CEO and Managing Director of TDF, a venture capital fund with investments in the communications industry. She currently heads a private consulting firm based in Washington, DC that provides investment and management services.
A native Californian from the San Francisco Bay Area, Ms. Lew received her law degree from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall), and her undergraduate degree in political science from UCLA.
